Lean, Mean, & Saving The Green…Be Physically And Fiscally Fit

by Paul on June 9, 2010

I decided on this blog post from Schumacher Homes to tell everyone about our in-house ‘Biggest Loser’ contest. Being fit has long been one of my concerns and I am very pleased that so many of our employees have joined in this venture. This fun competition mirrors our company statement of ‘Work Hard, Have Fun, Produce Results!’

A healthy lifestyle not only contributes to a feeling of well-being – it also results in fewer sick days, increased energy, and a more positive outlook on life. I am very interested in the outcome of our competition! I encourage everyone to be practical in this endeavor and to adopt a sensible wellness program. My hopes are that the competitors will continue to work out and watch their diet and exercise long after the contest is over.

How is this topic pertinent to the homebuilding industry, you may ask? How about the concept of being ‘fiscally fit’? The current economic state has caused everyone to be more conscious of spending, both in the business world and on a personal level. Our Green line of homes, coupled with our Energy Star® certification, are proof that we are very aware of the impact that our industry has on the environment. Better air quality and less wasted energy are benefits not only to the environment, but our own personal health.

Additionally, our Best Value Price Quote is further proof that we are keeping our customers in tune with how every dollar is being spent in the construction of their custom home. I hope you can see the connection between counting calories and watching your expenditures. So get moving – hit the gym – check out our website – and be on your way to physical AND ‘fiscal’ fitness!
