Anyone who knows me personally was not surprised when I decided that Schumacher Homes’ latest new home plans had to be centered on the great outdoors. From early on, our favorite family vacations were those that were spent on the beach or on hunting or fishing trips. When we searched for a partner in this plan design, we immediately thought of another family who exhibits this same love for the outdoors and preservation of our natural resources – the Earnhardt family!
We were so excited to team up with Kerry and Rene’ Earnhardt, and designing and naming these new plans took on a special meaning. Listening to the Earnhardts choosing the name for each and every plan, inspired by fond recollections of family and tradition, was like a walk down memory lane. Pocono, where Kerry won his first race; Flowering Lilac, which brought to mind Rene’s beloved Mawmaw; and finally rugged Giant Sequoia, reminiscent of the family’s founder, Dale Earnhardt: each plan triggered comforting thoughts of their family, and, after all, isn’t FAMILY what ultimately makes a house a home?
Designing these homes was “relatively” – sorry for the pun! – simple; we focused the layout of each home on the kitchen, great room, and the dining areas – where the family congregates to share meals, recount the events of the day, and bask in the comfort of loved ones. And, just like all of our new home plans, each and every one in the new collection can be fully customized to suit the needs of your family.
Check out the 22 Earnhardt Collection™ plans and see which of these inviting homes is the one in which you want to write the memories for your family to cherish throughout the years!
