There are many elements that make up a complete kitchen design including counter material, flooring, cabinetry, and more.  Let’s walk through some options when designing a kitchen with Schumacher Homes!

Countertops – Countertop materials generally fall into one of three categories- Natural Stone such as granite and marble, Natural Quartz or engineered stone, and Solid Surface or polymer-based counters.  There are many different options, and each material holds its own value – which one will you choose?

Cabinetry – Cabinetry can be made from a variety of hardwoods, and can be either painted or finished to compliment the rest of the kitchen material and design.  Cherry, Oak, and Hard Maple are very common choices for cabinetry, although some tastes prefer painted cabinets.  The choice is yours!

Dining – Some people enjoy a more casual environment when sitting down for a family dinner, while some prefer a more formal atmosphere.  When designing your own space, remember that the kitchen can be used for many things beyond dining.  When the kids set up shop to do homework or projects, when the neighbors join you for dinner, and when there’s no other place to find some peace and quiet the kitchen becomes a multi-faceted room!  What will you use your dream kitchen for?

Layout – Two styles of kitchen layout are available to you through Schumacher Homes Custom Designs.  The first design will open your kitchen up to the Great Room, allowing for conversation between rooms.  The second takes a formal approach by keeping the kitchen separated from the rest of the house, allowing the chef to work unabated!  What environment suits your culinary skills?

Fixtures – Fixtures, although very functional in nature, also serve as a finishing touch on your kitchen masterpiece.  Two popular styles include the smooth Satin Nickel that will blend perfectly with a stainless steel sink, and a more traditional Rubbed Bronze finish that will stand out among the other highlights of this magnificent space.  Both styles are easy to maintain, so choose wisely!

Flooring – Flooring is an essential part of any kitchen design.  You will want a style and material that is durable, but also fits the design and texture of the room.  Tile and hardwood floors serve these purposes well – what will you choose?

To enter, fill out the form below.  You will be automatically registered to receive Schumacher Homes email newsletters. Limit: one (1) entry per person, regardless of means of entry.

ELIGIBILITY: To enter this sweepstakes you must be a legal resident of the 50 United States of America or the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older. Employees of Schumacher Homes,  Intrapromote, LLC, their agents, their agents’ employees, their advertising and promotion agencies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and any individual or company directly associated with this sweepstakes, and the immediate families of these employees (parents, children, siblings, spouse) as well as members of the respective households of these employees (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate.

PRIZE: There will be one (1) Grand Prize awarded following the Promotion Period of one 8GB Apple iPod Touch for one person from Schumacher Homes. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of Grand Prize is $250.00.

Odds of winning a prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: One winner will be selected to receive the Grand Prize, from among all eligible entries received, in a random drawing to be held on or around the first week following the Promotion Period in which entries are accepted. Winners will be selected by the senior management of Schumacher Homes whose decisions will be considered final in regard to all matters related to this sweepstakes. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or the email address provided, or other form of home delivery. Winners will be required to provide shipping information as requested by Sponsor within seven (7) days of initial notification. Failure to comply within the specified period may result in a forfeit of the prize claim and a new winner may be selected.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: No transfer, substitution or cash value equivalent for Grand Prizes are available, except at sole discretion of Sponsor. All federal, state and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
