If you’ve just recently started following the Schumacher Homes blog you may not be aware that one of my passions is health and fitness. In previous posts (see “Schumacher Special Safety Council Award”, “Walking to Greensboro!”,”Biggest Loser Contest”, “Lean, Mean & Saving The Green”) I have stressed the value of making good decisions part of everyone’s lifestyle. Now, I am pleased to announce that we have just received the “Ohio Healthy Workplace” Bronze Level award.
Some of the criteria by which organizations within our state who apply for this designation are evaluated include assessing safety and health needs in the workplace, promoting healthy food choices, addressing awareness of mental well-being, focusing on stress level reduction, and encouraging employees to recognize and report any conditions which might result in accidents or injury. Implementation of these guidelines benefits not only the overall health of the individual, but also results in fewer time lost in sick days; this, in turn, increases productivity in the workplace.
The bedrock of our company is the commitment to quality and striving to be the best in all that we attempt. We have received numerous awards because of of our dedication to provide our customers with the quality-built home of which each and every one can be proud for years to come. This tenet forms the basis for our construction process.
I am proud that we have received recognition for our efforts. Now, I want to thank all who have worked so hard to promote a safer, healthier lifestyle in the workplace, as well. The benefits are yet another award of which we can all be proud!
